simple, yet elegant

One of the most common requests we hear from clients when they describe their vision of their perfect day is "simple, yet elegant." We couldn't agree more with their wishes. It's amazing how lovely one type or color of flower can bring such beauty and life to a setting.

Sometimes less is truly more.

Bling! Bling!

The latest issue of Seattle Bride Magazine features some amazing photographs from some of the best Seattle photographers in the business. The one you see here however, feels more like a piece of art than a mere picture. Imagine my surprise when I saw it in the magazine and realized that it is my ring - from my own wedding photos!

My amazing husband has impeccable taste, don't you agree? Lucky me.

My sincere thanks to Janet Klinger for her amazing photographic work.

Happy Saint Patrick's Day!

"When Irish eyes are smiling,
'Tis like a morn in spring.
With a lilt of Irish laughter,
You can hear the angels sing."

Our favorite magazine these days!

How thrilled we were to be quoted in the latest issue of the beautiful Seattle Metropolitan Bride & Groom magazine! Britt Olson wrote a wonderful piece entitled, "Have Love...Will Travel". With our expertise in having traveled the globe for our clients, we were more than happy to offer a couple of pieces of advise for destination brides.... why not Beaver Creek Lodge for a winter-wonderland celebration? On another extreme, one of our all time favorite places is the island of Raratonga - in the beautiful Cook Islands in the South Pacific (near New Zealand). The visitors who go to the church there claim that "they have heard the angels sing". Talk about a magnificent wedding... and quite a choir as a send off.

Pick up a copy and take a look. You're going to absolutely LOVE this latest high class publication!!!

"O" Boy! Girl's Night out at Goldfarbs!

What can possibly be nicer than being involved in an exclusive 'Girls Night Out' at the absolutely lovely second location of of Alvin Goldfarb Jewelers - this one in their beautiful new downtown Seattle store. Steve and Fredda Goldfarb are no strangers to entertaining, and what they do is always in the very best of taste. What makes it even more special is that most of their events are designed with a philanthropic theme - one of the things we here at Good Taste Events just adore.

This event celebrated the Launch of "O" Wines and was supported by the fabulous Jewelery of Roberto Coin. The founders of "O" wines - Stacy Lill and Kathy Johanson were on hand to supply their delicious Horse Heaven Hills Chardonnay and explain to the crowd about their mission - to provide under privileged girls with the opportunity for scholarships. Talk about a win/win situation!

The generous folks at Roberto Coin jewelry donated a magnificent diamond pendant for one lucky guest!

And of course the Goldfarbs offered their beautiful venue, provided the music, the food and the drinks - along with a chance to model some amazing jewelry!

As they say, 'a good time was definitely had by all!' Thanks for letting Good Taste be a part of such an exciting and successful evening.

Look for more of these amazing events and an interview with Fredda Goldfarb upcoming in our blog. You won't want to miss it!!
Cheers!

Today Megan and I (and our new pal, "Disguise Maude") enjoyed the delicious tomato bisque at Chantrelle restaurant in Edmonds.

Maude is joining Good Taste as a partner and creative director and we are thrilled and honored to have her onboard.

Keep in touch as more exciting plans are unveiled at Good Taste Events!

be.ology. you are what you wear

I have been in love with these shirts since I first spotted them last year. We are getting them for our team to wear during setup for our events. How nice to see folks walking around with shirts that say "be.exceptional." Now those are people that I would love to hang around. The photo above is from a charity event. What a great way to be.involved.

Here's the scoop from their website. Go there now. be.amazed.

WEAR the words. SHARE who you are. BE. who you choose to BE.
Each of us has the power to live our best life and to make the world a better place. Spreading positive thoughts, messages, and energy can impact the world in tremendous ways. We hope our shirts inspire you to share and promote your positive energy.
How you express yourself is your choice, but before you decide, consider some interesting facts:
Did you know?...

…that performing an act of kindness will change your body, chemically as well as emotionally?
There is a chemical in the body, serotonin, that makes you feel good and performing an act of kindness increases the serotonin level in the body - of the performer of the act, the receiver of the act….AND in all the people that are in that energy field….wearing an expression of be.kindtm impacts the way you feel and the energy and actions of the various people you will encounter. You can make a difference in the world by choosing to spread positive messages and energy.

…that a positive thought physically make you stronger (and negative thoughts will make you weaker). Thoughts and words have energy that effect your whole sense of be.ing. and impact the world around you.
